With over 20 years of experience working with a diverse range of clients in both Virginia and North Carolina, Karilyn moved from Sylva, NC to Abingdon, VA in 2007. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina with a BA in Psychology and a graduate from the University of South Carolina with a Masters of Social Work. She obtained her License of Social Work (LCSW) in 2002 and began practicing in Sylva, NC before moving and opening her two offices in Abingdon and Lebanon, VA.

 

Karilyn works with most populations but specializes in working with adults, families, and womens issues. What Karilyn wants most is to help her clients understand what their needs are and to work together to develop and follow a plan to reach their goals. In the wake of the COVID pandemic, Karilyn is offering telehealth appointments as well as in-person appointments when needed. She accepts most insurances and has a reduced fee for patients without insurance.
